Somebody call 911

We field tripped it to the Fire Department this morning. Blake's class got the royal treatment from the Payne Field Firemen today! We got to watch the special truck that puts out airplane fires squirt water 220 feet out from it's top hose, and also see the beds that firemen sleep in!!! Big deal. Big deal.

At the end of the introduction, my little man in red quickly raises his hand for a comment. He is called on, and says, "When I grow up, I am going to be a fireman." Really...his timing is unreal. (he gets it from his mother.)

The next kid announces he will be an astronaut, and then another boy declares he will be a race car driver. Finally, the fireman calls on a girl.

"I am going to be a princess when I grow up" she shyly says.

Blake leaps up, eyebrows raised, cheeks rosey and announces to the room, "Wha! When my mommy grows up, she wants to be a princess too!!!!"

Can you believe it!
