Blake is in this highly annoying phase where his favorite toy, is the toy that Parker is playing with. This could change 10 times in 5 minutes, but he is insistent that it is only fair that he plays with that toy, because not only is it his favorite, but also his most beloved color. He was playing on Parker's floor while I was changing Parker, who was holding a green car. Obviously, this would upset Blake, being that the red car he was holding, would no longer do the job. He told me that Parker took it from him and he wanted it back. I began to explain that just because Parker has a toy, doesn't mean he has to have it, blah blah, you are in Parker's room, blah blah, and I am interrupted with...... "Whoa whoa whoa. Mommy. Slow down here." Really? He put his hands up, jazz fingers flared and commanded me to "slow down". He then went on to remind me that in our house we share toys, no matter whose room we are in, and that it would be the best choice for me to apologize to him. Wow. Nap time came a little quicker today.
