When Kiesha is in charge

Parker and Kiesha spent an evening together a couple of weeks ago. There is a reason why he loves loves loves, his Auntie Kie Kie. She found a camera in our house and captured "A day in the life of Parker".

The funniest part of all, is that everything she captured, are all obvious "No Touches" in our home.

Oh Me Oh My

This is an expression used by Blake and me to describe a variety of things. It could be a fabulous chocolate chunk cookie, a darling art project, or a smell coming from Parker. Yesterday it described a State Patrol Officer. I was taking Blake to a birthday party that started at 2:45 in the afternoon. (Soooo, toddlers don't nap?) We were headed down I-5 in the HOV lane and I noticed a cop car pull out of the median. As I made my way towards the right lanes, aiming for 405, he was making his move as well. I started to panic. The kind of panic where your hands get really sweaty, your stomach stops functioning and you just keep answering yes to all of the questions from your 3 year old. On come the lights, over pulls Wendy. I am in such a state of terror that I have pulled out all appropriate paperwork and begun to pray. The officer comes up to the passenger side door, takes a look in the back and says, "Oh great, just didn't see the little guy there." What? No really, what? I looked him straight in the face and in this high pitch voice squealed, "But I had my cruise control SET!!" Blake then asks, "Mommy, why is there a police man standing at the window?" I took a deep breath and said, "Oh, he just wanted to stop by and say hi to you." Blake then screams out, "But I am in my new carseat, AND I am wearing my seatbelt!" Whoa.

I guess all of this would not have been that big of a deal, if it wasn't for the fact that two days earlier, I had been pulled over for speeding. Huh.
