Everyone Loves "Pee Grable"

For the last 2 months, I have been scouring Craigslist for a sand table for our boys. We need outside activities in our backyard. The kind that don't require Mommy pushing, pulling, or picking up. Since I am not a large plastic toy lover, we decided to get a little creative and turn a small section of our side yard into a gravel play area. This way, I can sit and watch the boys fight over the $.99 Target toys from the back patio, or the kitchen. I was quite pleased with myself, purchasing 2 of every toy in coordinating colors. My pleasure disapated today when Blake was dancing over his little brother with two rakes, while pea gravel was being poured over Parker's head. And of course, Parker was screaming. I love summer.

The Little Zoo

We headed down the street from our house to Forest Park on Monday, because Blake told me that going to Seattle to the big zoo, was too far away. My three year old fully grasps the concept of a recession, and the high gas prices. He even has his own bag of white rice. One per family member.

Parker was beside himself at the animals walking around, that he just stood there and screamed at them. Blake, continued to ask me for 30 minutes why there were locks on the bunny cages. At minute 28, I was tempted to tell him, "Because they will eat you."
